The Top 5 Meme

Well, Jenny will probably be mad that I finally get around to posting a blog and it’s not about Jack. Hahah… the truth is I’m working on getting the videos we have converted and on the website… so eventually I’ll have tons to post about!! But for now, calm down darling! :)

Today, Ole sent me a Top 5 Things You Wanted to Know About Me meme. So here we go…

1. What was I doing 10 years ago? Let’s see, that was 1998… I was living in Gwinnett I think. I had just started working at Cox that year. I was driving an Acura Integra - the first car I bought with my own money. I had no clue what HTML was. I think I was already going to the Art Institute of Atlanta, but I’m not certain. Oh, that was the year that I got my dog, Reo.

2. What are 5 things on my to-do list today? Right now I’m working on my group’s website. My website is kind of like an asset management database, but tailored specifically to datacenters. In this website you can see all equipment racked in our datacenter. You can view all the connections from a device to everything it connects to (PDU’s, server switches, other servers, etc). The code I’m working on will allow me to query the port status on the server switch that the device is connected to (via SNMP). Other things on my ToDo list include working on some PHP code for a Drupal module I’m working on for TenTonHammer.com. This will allow me to migrate from an old image Gallery system to the new and improved version we just implemented. I also have to work on a media guide for TTH, create some blog banners, and finally figure out some charting for a custom app we are working on. Non-work related, I have to go to the doctor’s, call an AC guy, call a money guy, get a will made, and research term life insurance (any tips?)… so I have a lot to do.

3. Snacks I Enjoy: Salted cashews. mmmm.

4. Places I’ve Lived: Miami, Cumming, Atlanta, Hinesville, Gainesville, Statesboro, Milledgeville, Duluth, Sandy Springs, Canton. I think that’s all.

5. Things I would do if I were a billionaire: Quit working this job. Donate a ton of it to my church. Buy a few of the cars I’ve always wanted. Upgrade the living snot out of my computer. It’s fast enough now, but with money, it could be a LOT faster. I suppose I’d have to buy Jenny a new car too. :) More seriously, Jenny and I would travel to all the places we’ve wanted to go. We’d hire personal trainers and chef’s and get in Movie Star shape. Really, I could type about eight pages of things to do with that kind of money…

So there it is. I’m supposed to “Tag” 5 people to do this as well, but the truth is I only know of 2 that would do it or even know what the heck a meme is.

  1. Jenny

  • 15 Months Old! July 2, 2009
Jack had his 15-month appointment today. Sean was able to go with us, which is always helpful! Jack was 95% in head circumference and height (33″), and he was 75% in weight (26 lbs.). Our ped said he looked wonderful! YAY for Jack! He didn’t like being there too much, although he did play with [...]
  • The NEW World of Cloth Diapering June 30, 2009
I could kick myself for not looking into this sooner!!!!!!!!!!! Let’s face it, folks. Diapers are EXPENSIVE, especially when you have a sensitive-skinned kid like mine. Not to mention, these disposables are filling up our landfills. One of my friends that lives in California cloth diapers. I’ve always been her biggest critic. I’ve always to […]
  • What Jack’s Been Up To Lately… June 28, 2009
This has been a fun month for Mr. Jack. He is really growing up! With each passing week, I see dramatic changes physically and mentally. In only a few more days, Jack will be 15 months old! I can’t believe June is already gone! We’re taking him for his wellness check-up later this week, so [...]
